Salsa 5 Air 3-in-1 Complete Set, including the Calla infant car seat – built for rough terrain from birth to age 4
A set that truly has it all—for families who love getting out into nature: From the first day at the hospital all the way through preschool age, you won’t need to buy anything else. The Salsa 5 Air 3-in-1 stroller set combines our most off-road-capable stroller with a seat unit, the cozy carrycot for the first few months, and the i-Size Calla infant car seat—all components perfectly coordinated. Thanks to large air-filled wheels and top-of-the-line suspension, the Salsa 5 Air glides smoothly over cobblestones, gravel, and forest and field paths. Your newborn lies flat and secure in the carrycot at first, travels safely in the Calla car seat, and can be transferred between the car and the stroller while asleep, without waking up. The seat unit then accompanies you up to 22 kg—roughly until your child’s fourth birthday.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Complete 3-in-1 stroller set: Stroller + carrycot + i-Size Calla i-Size infant car seat—all perfectly coordinated and ready to go from birth.
- Truly all-terrain: large air-filled wheels and top-of-the-line suspension—glides smoothly over cobblestones, gravel, and forest and field paths.
- Ready to go from birth: Carrycot with CozyCloud® mattress for a flat, healthy lying position from day one.
- Safe in the car: i-Size Calla infant car seat (ECE R129) with a lie-flat position—the matching Maxi-Cosi adapters are included, and the rotatable Isofix Base Root is available as an option.
- Seamless transition: Transfer your sleeping baby from the car to the frame without waking them.
- Long-lasting: The seat unit can be used up to 22 kg—which usually lasts until around your child’s fourth birthday.
Salsa 5 Air stroller – our most all-terrain model
Whether it’s a forest trail, gravel road, cobblestone street, or uneven park path—the Salsa 5 Air takes you and your child over any terrain. This is made possible by its large, air-filled tires and top-of-the-line suspension with independent wheel suspension and additional suspension on the rear axle: Bumps are gently absorbed, ensuring a smooth and quiet ride for your child. The swiveling front wheels make it highly maneuverable—off-road, you can simply lock them in place for a particularly stable ride.
The included seat unit attaches to the frame with a single click. Its soft, breathable comfort seat pad provides extra support, while the mesh ventilation window in the backrest ensures a comfortable seating environment at all times. The spacious, extendable canopy with UV protection 50+ also features a mesh window—and a foldable sun canopy that can be folded forward when the sun is low, providing extra shade.
When your little explorer is tired from discovering the world, you can adjust the backrest all the way to a lie-flat position. Your child is optimally secured with the innovative HappyBelt® 5-point harness system: The magnetic fastening and the front-accessible, infinitely adjustable harness adjustment make buckling up a breeze, while the slightly protruding shoulder straps make it easier for you to place your child in the seat. You can adjust the height-adjustable handlebar to suit either parent with a single hand movement. Since the seat unit can be used up to 22 kg—which is generally until around age four—the Salsa 5 Air will be with you for many years.
You can conveniently operate the parking brake with your foot. For transport, the Salsa 5 Air folds up and can be stowed in the trunk—and when you’re in a hurry, you can fold it up even with the seat unit attached, whether the seat is facing you or forward.
Carrycot with CozyCloud® mattress – a flat lying position from day one
The carrycot included in the set makes the Salsa 5 Air ready for use right from birth. Your newborn lies flat and ergonomically on the soft CozyCloud® mattress—ideal for healthy baby sleep, with the head, spine, and hips supported in the best possible way. This way, you’re fully equipped for the first few months without having to buy a carrycot separately.
Calla i-Size Infant Car Seat – Safe on the Road
The Calla i-Size infant car seat is included in the set for car rides—suitable for babies from 40 to 87 cm (up to a max. of 13 kg, approx. 24 months), tested to the current highest safety standard, ECE R129 (i-Size), and featuring integrated side-impact protection. From the very first ride home from the hospital, your baby will travel safely, comfortably, and relaxed. Thanks to its lie-flat position, your newborn lies in a particularly ergonomic position—and this lie-flat position is maintained even when you attach the car seat to the stroller. The car seat is installed as a rear-facing car seat in the direction of travel. In the car, you simply secure the Calla using your vehicle’s 3-point seat belt. If you’d like even more convenience, add the 360° rotatable Isofix Base Root (optionally available separately)—this makes it especially easy to secure and remove the infant carrier and allows you to comfortably turn your baby toward the door.
Using the Maxi-Cosi adapters included in the set, you can securely click the infant car seat onto the Salsa 5 Air frame, turning the stroller into a practical travel system. By the way, you can also attach compatible Maxi-Cosi infant car seats using these same adapters. If your baby has fallen asleep in the car, you can simply transfer them—car seat and all—without waking them up.
Thoughtfully Designed Down to the Last Detail
With the integrated ABC Design Universal Fix mount, accessories such as a changing bag, cup holder, or light can be attached to the stroller with a single click. Thanks to the parking brake, 5-point harness system, transport lock, and detachable wheels, you’ll be on the go with optimal safety over any terrain—no matter where your adventure takes you.
With the Salsa 5 Air 3-in-1 Set, you’ll have everything you need for your child’s first four years right at your fingertips: coordinated, safe, and ready to go from day one.
