The Salsa 5 Air’s carrycot offers the highest level of comfort for your newborn. Two individually adjustable ventilation windows ensure optimal air circulation. Plus, you’ll always have a clear view of your little one. The ergonomic CozyCloud® mattress is wedge-shaped at the head end, so your baby’s head is always elevated. Integrated air holes in the foam of the CozyCloud® mattress ensure optimal ventilation. It also features an extra-soft, raised protective rim to ensure your little one’s sensitive scalp doesn’t come into direct contact with the ventilation window. When traveling by car, you can fold the carrycot to save space, making it easier to stow in the trunk. To keep bottles, pacifiers, muslin towels, and other essentials organized, the carrycot includes a practical organiser with a storage pocket.
The carrycot memory function—and now also of the carrycot canopy—offers special convenience for parents. With just one click, you can unlock the mounts one after the other, always keeping one hand free to hold onto the carrying handle. This makes removing the carrycot from your Stroller’s frame even more convenient and secure. Using the same memory mechanism, you can now also release the canopy mount, allowing you to effortlessly and comfortably adjust the carrycot’s large sun canopy. With two handy sliders on the underside of the carrycot, you can quickly fold it up and stow it in the trunk to save space. As soon as your little one gets bigger, you can switch to the seat with just one click. The padded backrest of the Salsa 5 Air can be adjusted to 4 different positions, making it ideal for your little one’s needs. Depending on your needs, you can switch from an upright sitting position to a reclined or completely flat lying position. The soft and breathable comfort seat insert provides additional support. A ventilation window made of fine mesh fabric is also integrated into the backrest, ensuring a comfortable seating environment through air circulation. On sunny days, the generous UV Protection 50+ canopy provides ample shade for your child. Integrated into the canopy is a foldable sunshade that can be folded forward when the sun is low, thereby extending the canopy even further.
Of course, your child is also optimally secured. The innovative HappyBelt® 5-point belt system is easy to adjust thanks to a practical magnetic buckle and front-accessible, infinitely adjustable straps. The comfortably padded shoulder straps are positioned slightly away from the backrest, making it much easier for you to place your baby in the seat.

Product frequently asked questions
The wheels of the Salsa 5 Air are much more robust than is often assumed. If you use the recommended tyre pressure of 1.8 to 2.0 bar, an inner tube will rarely break. Many parents use the same inner tube for several years.
The greatest risk comes from tyre pressure that is too low. When going up and down kerbs, the inner tube can become pinched between the rim and the tyre if the tyre is too soft. This is also known as a “snakebite”. So the main problem is not nails or shards of glass, but too little air.
The tyres normally lose hardly any air. It is enough to check the pressure by hand every 2 weeks: Press the tyre lightly with your thumb. It should only compress very slightly. If all four tyres feel similarly firm, everything is fine. If you notice differences or one tyre feels soft, you should measure the tyre pressure and pump it up.
To inflate your Salsa tyres, you need a standard air pump, just like for a bicycle. The valve is an AV (car valve/Schrader valve) version. It is the same valve you find on a car tyre.
We recommend a tyre pressure of 1.8 to 2.0 bar. Lower tyre pressure leads to a spongy ride, while too much pressure can damage the inner tube or even cause it to burst.
We advise against inflating the tyres at a petrol station. This can be a possible emergency solution. However, it is important not to exceed 2 bar. As the pumps often work with high pressure, the inner tube can easily burst if the setting is incorrect.
Your boot should have at least the following dimensions:
Length: 63 cm / width: 86 cm / height: 42 cm
To be sure, simply measure your boot.
Here’s how to do it:
Width: distance between the wheel arches (often the narrowest point)
Length: distance from the loading edge to the seats. Please note that the distance usually becomes smaller higher up due to the angled backrest.
Height: distance from the lower edge to the boot cover or parcel shelf.
In many vehicles, this can be removed to increase the height.
